How to Fix COD Black Ops 7 Beta Not Working
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta is now live, and players can test out Treyarch’s futuristic FPS ahead of its official launch in November. The Black Ops 7 beta isn’t without its issues, however, and some players are having trouble getting into the game across all platforms.
Beta connection errors are nothing new, and these things are to be expected when testing out a big AAA game before its release. With that said, there are quite a few problems popping up for Black Ops 7 players that don’t have easy fixes. Some issues require you to mess with your PC settings, while others just require a quick restart. Here’s how to fix the most common Black Ops 7 beta issues.
How to Fix "You Do Not Have Access to This Content" in Black Ops 7
A common issue with the Black Ops 7 beta is an error telling players that they do not have access to the game. The only option is to pre-order Black Ops 7, but you’ll see that error even if you do own the game.
Treyarch is aware of the issue and working on a fix, but in the meantime, there are a few things you can try to get in the game right now. The easiest way to get around this is to join on a friend who is already playing the Black Ops 7 beta. This will allow you to bypass the permission pop-up and start playing. You can also restart your game until it lets you in, although this isn’t a guaranteed workaround.
How to Fix Secure Boot and TPM in Black Ops 7
Just like with Battlefield 6, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 requires PC players to enable TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot on their motherboards before they can start playing. This should be enabled by default on most PCs, but you’ll have to manually turn it on if you have an older system.
To fix this issue, reboot your PC and access your BIOS menu. Each motherboard has a different method of accessing the BIOS, but you typically have to press a specific key while booting up. From there, verify that TMP 2.0 and Secure Boot are turned on. Once you reboot your computer, you’ll be able to launch Black Ops 7.
How to Fix Black Ops 7 Beta Crashing
Crashing is a common problem in the Black Ops 7 beta, but it’s hard to pin down a reason, since crashes can be caused by several different things. One common fix is to wait at the main menu for the game to finish compiling shaders, reducing instability during matches and minimizing the chances of a crash.
Other players have reported that various settings tweaks can fix Black Ops 7 crashes. Try turning off HDR or playing the game in windowed mode to see if you stop crashing. It may be worth adjusting other graphical settings to get smoother performance and reduce the odds of crashing as well.
These issues will hopefully be ironed out by the end of the Black Ops 7 beta period (or the full launch). More updates are planned for the Black Ops 7 beta — including new maps and Zombies content once the open beta begins — so bug fixes could be coming sooner than you’d expect.
