Halo Infinite launches alongside Project Scarlett late 2020, Microsoft has announced.
Microsoft showed a cutscene-heavy trailer during its E3 2019 media briefing – but no gameplay.
In it we see a pilot rescue Master Chief from floating in space amid debris from a Halo ring.

Halo Infinite is a cross-gen title, meaning it launches on Xbox One, PC and Project Scarlett.
In a blog post, developer 343 said it internally refers to Halo Infinite as “a spiritual reboot”.
The story is Master Chief’s, 343 insisted, but will star new characters. “The universe will continue the continuity of Halo 5 and in that sense contain the adventures that led up to this moment, but in the pursuit of our ‘spiritual reboot’ and the launch of a new console, we also want to make sure that this is a perfect starting point for new players too.
