Genshin Impact Player Finds Clever Way to Defeat Nod-Krai Local Legend

A Genshin Impact player has come up with a clever way of defeating one of the new Local Legends bosses found in the Nod-Krai region. The HoYoverse RPG has featured a wide variety of different enemies for players to challenge throughout the game’s nearly five-year-long life, spanning across seven different playable regions. Fans have been able to encounter everything from Hilichurls and Treasure Hoarders to several members of the Fatui’s Harbingers like Arlecchino, Childe, and Scaramouche. However, one particular recent addition has provided a notable challenge in Genshin Impact‘s overworld.

Genshin Impact‘s Fontaine region brought with it the first members of the HoYoverse RPG’s “Local Legends” as powerful new overworld bosses. Local Legends serve as some of the strongest enemies players can find in the game’s overworld, with only one of each found in different locations around Teyvat. Local Legends make for such an impressive challenge that Genshin Impact even awards players with Achievements for beating each individual enemy. Now, one fan is showing off their trick for defeating one of the game’s newest enemies.

Reddit user Mogoru_z4n showed off their unique method for defeating one of Nod-Krai’s Local Legends on the Genshin Impact subreddit. The video depicts the player battling against Local Legend Sigurd in Nod-Krai’s Lempo Isle, using only the Anemo Traveler on their team. The player lures Sigurd over to the nearby water with the Local Legend’s dashing attack, before quickly pivoting and using the Anemo Traveler’s Ultimate to send Sigurd into the water with a tornado. Sigurd immediately dies upon hitting the water and the player earns the achievements for defeating Sigurd.

Genshin Impact Player Defeats Nod-Krai Local Legend in Unique Way

The unique trick for defeating Sigurd makes use of one of Genshin Impact‘s more niche mechanics with its enemies. Genshin Impact‘s enemies are not able to swim like the player characters, with most enemies drowning and dying upon touching water that is too deep for the character to stand in. The mechanic is typically not usable on bosses within Genshin Impact, with most bosses not able to be picked up by the Traveler’s tornado or moved using any attack.

Genshin Impact‘s newest region has brought plenty of exciting content for players to experience throughout the first explorable area of Snezhnaya. Version 6.0 welcomed three new characters to the game’s playable roster, with both Lauma and Aino making their debut in the update’s first half and Flins coming with the second half. Sigurd was also not the only new Local Legend added with Nod-Krai, with both the Crab Tsar and Raskolnikov also introduced as part of Nod-Krai’s “Valiant Chronicles” series of enemies. Genshin Impact fans can use the clever trick to make clearing one of Nod-Krai’s toughest enemies a little easier.
